Beauty is Hard Work!

These HORRIFIED expressions are the result of our never ending Quest for Beauty and Youth!  If you look closely in the background, you will see Sister Tracy about to undergo a procedure that we are sure will result in much pain and disfigurement!!  
Per usual, one sister is never enough to do anything new, so Michelle and I traipsed along while Tracy had her EYEBROWS MICRO-BLADED!!!
Notice this procedure has the word “Blade”in it......all of you who know what a sissy I am can’t imagine ME doing anything like this.....but Tracy, being the bold one, decided this was a great idea.

In theory, small incisions are made in your brow area, and dye placed there.  There are many mirror checks to make sure the brows are even, properly placed, and colored.  Even topical anesthesia is used.    

Michelle and I are included in the consulting processes.  Michelle is all  “Oh, Tracy, they will look so nice!  Just beautiful!”   I’m not so sure, and halfway through the procedure I look at Michelle and whisper...”She looks like she has Joan Crawford eyebrows!”    Michelle responds “She does NOT!”   Thank the Heavens, Michelle was right this time, and Tracy looks beautiful!

The upshot of all this Beautyful-ness, is that Michelle decided to take the plunge, and become Micro-Bladed as well.
So now my sisters have beautiful, expressive eyebrows,     And me?  Not so much...........

LITTLE BROKEN ANGEL

On, or about January 22, our middle sister, Michelle, took a spill, while hauling a cooler.  Not only did she get a nasty bruise on her chin, it turns out she managed to break a bone in her foot!!  The above photo is the wrapping from the emergency room.  Within a few days she went to the foot surgeon, who put her in a boot, until the swelling went down, so she could have surgery to speed the healing. Now, this is the true gist of the story, Dr. Michelle, as we like to call her, would probably change the dates, the diagnosis, and the time of treatment.......but this is MY blog, so we will go with my timeline. The big reason for any consternation on our parts, is that Tracy and Michelle  have a date with Rick Steves! in Italy!  For three weeks!  And Michelle is on crutches!  Granted, they aren't leaving until the end of April, but nevertheless....... Her mobility was greatly improved with the addition of one of those kneely scooter thinge...

A THORN FOR THE ROSES!

The caption for this particular blog sounds much more dire than it really is....but, after we sisters have enjoyed the sole company of each other, our firstborn brother, Tim, and his lovely wife , Debbie, finally set their GPS to Meridian and spent some time with us!  We were all so tickled to have them for a visit.  As a matter of fact, we prepared the fatted calf (pork ribs, really) and celebrated with a communal dinner.....all the Roses and their spouses, Tim and Deb, and Devon Abrego ( only invited to keep the average age of the diners under 60!). I just did the math, the average age was 47.66666! Now, this Thorn businesss....as there can be only a Three Idaho Roses, we need some kind of tie in for our brothers.  I figured a Thorn would be better than an Aphid, right??? We’re Baaaaaaack!!!! Maybe?

     It’s been a long time since We Three Sisters of Idaho posted.  I could list a myriad of excuses, COVID, life, procrastination, etc, but really, when it comes right down to it, I’m sure we all know it was most likely the baby sister’s fault. Am I right?  Just kidding, of course.      There has been a lot of life that has taken place in the last little while, some good, some not so good, some still yet to be determined.  But I think that on the Eve of the annual Sisters Christmas Cookie/Candy Bake-a-thon that it’s a great time to begin the buzz of another round of “What Are Those Crazy Sisters Doing Now?!?”     Let us know if you are ready for the next chapter of excitement as we share with you the craziness that follows these fun loving, creative, crafty, adventuring girls (ladies?  Pbbbbtttt. women? Yes, we currently identify as such… Females of a Certain Age (FOCA). Stay tuned!!
