Beyond Montezuma

Sure, it's been awhile since you've heard from us, but that doesn't mean the "experiences" have stopped.  Just means we are lazy writers.  So, we will just dive back in and share this week with you!

As sisters, we have found that things are generally a ton more fun if we do them together.  So, Cammi came into Mountain Home for her nail appointment and I went with her.  (Our delicate flower sister is really fun to watch as she is "tortured" during nail and pedicure appointments.  Although, we think that she is a born performer and that she is much more tolerant, i.e., quieter, when she doesn't have an audience.  But I digress....). Following the appointment, we decided to stop and split a sandwich at a local deli.  It was sooooo yummy, even though it contained the dreaded avocado which clearly offends the pretty, pretty princess' strange texture sensibility.

We came home and sat to watch videos on Dressing Your Truth (more to come on that in another post).  All was fine until the bathroom bug hit Camelia.
Won't give you the details, but it wasn't pretty.    Request for a barf bucket was fulfilled. Pampering, hovering and accidental scarring took place, but she rested, recovered and returned to her resilient self!  Enjoyed the evening and then went to bed ....

And then it hit.....

Like a bat outta hell she struck with a vengeance!!! Avoiding all manner of man and beast, only one person was in her sights....the kind, gentle, undeserving of evil, ME!!  I called for my cousin, Ralph, and quietly proceeded to prepare for a colonoscopy and endoscopy.
Instead of a quick recuperation like my sister the delicate flower, I continued to be sick for the next three days.  (On the bright side, I did lose a quick 4 lbs!!)

We ruled out food poisoning, the plague and dengue fever and are chalking it up to one of those shared sister memories.  Sisters......we rock the crap out of every day life!!!

LITTLE BROKEN ANGEL

On, or about January 22, our middle sister, Michelle, took a spill, while hauling a cooler.  Not only did she get a nasty bruise on her chin, it turns out she managed to break a bone in her foot!!  The above photo is the wrapping from the emergency room.  Within a few days she went to the foot surgeon, who put her in a boot, until the swelling went down, so she could have surgery to speed the healing. Now, this is the true gist of the story, Dr. Michelle, as we like to call her, would probably change the dates, the diagnosis, and the time of treatment.......but this is MY blog, so we will go with my timeline. The big reason for any consternation on our parts, is that Tracy and Michelle  have a date with Rick Steves! in Italy!  For three weeks!  And Michelle is on crutches!  Granted, they aren't leaving until the end of April, but nevertheless....... Her mobility was greatly improved with the addition of one of those kneely scooter thinge...

A THORN FOR THE ROSES!

The caption for this particular blog sounds much more dire than it really is....but, after we sisters have enjoyed the sole company of each other, our firstborn brother, Tim, and his lovely wife , Debbie, finally set their GPS to Meridian and spent some time with us!  We were all so tickled to have them for a visit.  As a matter of fact, we prepared the fatted calf (pork ribs, really) and celebrated with a communal dinner.....all the Roses and their spouses, Tim and Deb, and Devon Abrego ( only invited to keep the average age of the diners under 60!). I just did the math, the average age was 47.66666! Now, this Thorn businesss....as there can be only a Three Idaho Roses, we need some kind of tie in for our brothers.  I figured a Thorn would be better than an Aphid, right??? We’re Baaaaaaack!!!! Maybe?

     It’s been a long time since We Three Sisters of Idaho posted.  I could list a myriad of excuses, COVID, life, procrastination, etc, but really, when it comes right down to it, I’m sure we all know it was most likely the baby sister’s fault. Am I right?  Just kidding, of course.      There has been a lot of life that has taken place in the last little while, some good, some not so good, some still yet to be determined.  But I think that on the Eve of the annual Sisters Christmas Cookie/Candy Bake-a-thon that it’s a great time to begin the buzz of another round of “What Are Those Crazy Sisters Doing Now?!?”     Let us know if you are ready for the next chapter of excitement as we share with you the craziness that follows these fun loving, creative, crafty, adventuring girls (ladies?  Pbbbbtttt. women?
