The Bee's Knees

 This is a rather interesting sight to appear before your eyes in your front yard.....

 Many thoughts crossed my mind.....
      A Hazmat Operation in the front yard....I really didn't think we had a meth lab in the neighborhood.......that sweet old guy who lives next door finally admitted to keeping his dead wife in the garage.....or, more realistically, bees, swarming Killer Africanized Bees!!!  Having settled on this last scenario, I proceeded to lock the dogs and husband in the house, and watched fretfully from the safety of the guest bedroom.
     Fortunately, it was a swarm of honey bees, who, with their queen tried to move in next to the fire hydrant.  It was interesting watching how slowly he moved, and capturing most of the bees and placing them in a hive, which he let set in the yard for about 24 hours, as the stragglers found their new home....


 In the Pit...

 No, I haven't taken up mud wrestling.  Nor cock fighting.  And not even barbecue-ing!!
     Being of such Pure Heart, I figured it behooved me to join a church choir here in Idaho.
Meridian only has one Catholic Church, and it is huge!!!      Well over a thousand attending each Mass.  The second closest church is St Mark's in Boise, and it is almost as big.  
    George and I attended several masses at each, and decided upon St Mark's.  I'd love to tell you it was the pastor, or the liturgy, or the music that drove our decision but both churches were lovely!  I'm afraid it was the parking lot!!

      You see, George belongs to the He Who Gets Out of the Parking Lot First Gets to Heaven the Quickest Club........
     Anyway, I joined the choir for the 11 o'clock Mass, and have met many wonderful musicians.  I am learning new music each week.  
   
 The choir is assembled in a sunken area to the left of the altar, hence The Pit.  Stop by and give a listen if you are in the neighborhood!

LITTLE BROKEN ANGEL

On, or about January 22, our middle sister, Michelle, took a spill, while hauling a cooler.  Not only did she get a nasty bruise on her chin, it turns out she managed to break a bone in her foot!!  The above photo is the wrapping from the emergency room.  Within a few days she went to the foot surgeon, who put her in a boot, until the swelling went down, so she could have surgery to speed the healing. Now, this is the true gist of the story, Dr. Michelle, as we like to call her, would probably change the dates, the diagnosis, and the time of treatment.......but this is MY blog, so we will go with my timeline. The big reason for any consternation on our parts, is that Tracy and Michelle  have a date with Rick Steves! in Italy!  For three weeks!  And Michelle is on crutches!  Granted, they aren't leaving until the end of April, but nevertheless....... Her mobility was greatly improved with the addition of one of those kneely scooter thinge...

A THORN FOR THE ROSES!

The caption for this particular blog sounds much more dire than it really is....but, after we sisters have enjoyed the sole company of each other, our firstborn brother, Tim, and his lovely wife , Debbie, finally set their GPS to Meridian and spent some time with us!  We were all so tickled to have them for a visit.  As a matter of fact, we prepared the fatted calf (pork ribs, really) and celebrated with a communal dinner.....all the Roses and their spouses, Tim and Deb, and Devon Abrego ( only invited to keep the average age of the diners under 60!). I just did the math, the average age was 47.66666! Now, this Thorn businesss....as there can be only a Three Idaho Roses, we need some kind of tie in for our brothers.  I figured a Thorn would be better than an Aphid, right??? We couldn't fit all nine of us into the picture, and besides, everyone was getting hungry! If you think the Roses are giddy, just try adding another Vedder, and a Vedder Spouse!!  W...

We’re Baaaaaaack!!!! Maybe?

     It’s been a long time since We Three Sisters of Idaho posted.  I could list a myriad of excuses, COVID, life, procrastination, etc, but really, when it comes right down to it, I’m sure we all know it was most likely the baby sister’s fault. Am I right?  Just kidding, of course.      There has been a lot of life that has taken place in the last little while, some good, some not so good, some still yet to be determined.  But I think that on the Eve of the annual Sisters Christmas Cookie/Candy Bake-a-thon that it’s a great time to begin the buzz of another round of “What Are Those Crazy Sisters Doing Now?!?”     Let us know if you are ready for the next chapter of excitement as we share with you the craziness that follows these fun loving, creative, crafty, adventuring girls (ladies?  Pbbbbtttt. women? Yes, we currently identify as such… Females of a Certain Age (FOCA). Stay tuned!!
